Thankful for your life.


Remembering our son Brian Eliot Holmes who was murdered in downtown Charleston on this date six years ago. Many more pictures than the ones printed above are etched on our hearts. These are just a few---he and his sister, infant and toddler; him in Middle School; Brian (Citadel '00) and I (Citadel '71) doing the ring thing with my nephew Matt Holmes (Citadel '07); Brain and his sister dancing at his wedding; and Brian and wife Katie at a Citadel football game. Precious memories, how they linger.

My one thought on this sixth anniversary of his death was voiced by the Apostle Paul in the Epistle to the Philippians---

I thank my God in all my remembrance of you.
