Ran across this editorial cartoon the other day and thought it would be good to share with all my southern style football freaks. It made me remember my childhood in South Carolina, when we could watch one college football game on Saturday, usually the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, and one professional football game on Sunday, usually the Washington Red Skins. Now, you can watch a game every day of the week, sometimes two or three. There have even been recent times when a group of us would gather, plug in two or three televisions and do simulcast of games happening at the same time. If you've got more than one TV, rearrange the furniture and watch them all.
But, even back then, attending a local game was the real deal. And it is today. Hey, it's the season. And, that brings a Saturday smile.
