For thirty five years Sunday mornings were my final prepration to lead our churches in worship and Bible study. Sunday morning devotions usually involved reading Psalms. One particular Psalm was framed years ago. It is Psalm 40:1-3, the Life Verse he gave me when we were struggling with his call to ministry. It's a great reminder of his faithfulness to us. Perhaps it wil speak to you too.
I waited patiently for the Lord; he inclined to me and heard my cry. He drew me up from the pit of destruction, out of the miry bog, and set my feet upon a rock, making my steps secure. He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see and fear, and put their trust in the Lord.
